"Lovely hotel" I thought the Portinari was an absolutely delightful hotel. All the public rooms were tastefully furnished. The bedroom was very clean. Buffet breakfast was superb. Service was excellent. Close to coach station. Perfectly placed for sighsteeing. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

"Location just Right" The Hotel Is well situated to all areas, only 10 min walk to bus station. Turn right out of Hotel and you are on the main shopping area with lots of side streets leading off. Turn left and this take you to park and leads you onto all the quaint back streets. The Hotel was very clean and staff courteous. and rooms were very nice.Tastefully furnished too.Breakfast was choice of continental and a bit of British. They are at the moment doing building work to a new square right in front of the hotel, which is going to be nice once finished, and also I may add did not inconvenience us at all. The good thing also about this hotel you have an open outlook with no buildings in front of you. Brugge to us was magical at this time of the year, and having a nice warm hotel to return to made it even better.

"Excellent value - great location" We have just returned from a short break at the Portinari. The location is excellent - only 10 minutes walk from the station and surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful - the rooms clean and spacious. Ask for a top floor room - the views over the square are fabulous. Can't wait to go back! Brugge in winter is lovely - check out the ice skating in the main square.
