"We'd definitely go back"
The location was excellent - just over the road from the lake (which was our favourite spot for evening meals - such a selection of restaurants - and a pleasant 5 minute stroll to the boat trips and squares.
We'd definitely go back if we were to visit Bruges again.

"The hotel is very childfriendly."
The hotel is very childfriendly. The price is good for a familyroom. Also there are a little playground and a swimmingpool outside which keep them occupied. The food was good.

"Excellent base for city break"
I have stayed at this hotel twice, and also at the Jacobs in Bruges.
This hotel is an excellent base for a stay in Bruges. It is 5-10 mins walk from the main centre attractions, or a similar distance the other way to the Minnerwasser & gardens. It is above a (public) underground car park, which costs extra.
The bar is fine for an early or late evening drink. We have never eaten at the restaurant (apart from brekafasts) and it looks a little clinical (typical chain hotel restauarant). But in Bruges, why would you stay in in the evening? You would be missing the best part of Bruges - dining out.
The rooms & public areas are spotlessly clean, service is efficient and staff are friendly & helpful. It ticks all the boxes, but lacks a little character. But as a base to explore the excellent town of Bruges, it is ideal.
I have found the cost quite reasonable; I have investigated smaller, independent hotels, often with fewer facilities and no car parking etc, and found them to be at least as expensive as the Novotel.
I will definitely be back.

"Great Value!"
The hotel is a 15/20 minute walk from the station or a 5 minute taxi ride (around 8 euros). The hotel itself is just a 10 minute walk from the Markt in the centre of town. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and although it isn't particularly beautiful from the outside, it's clean and spacious inside. Besides, when was the last time you booked a hotel to stare at it's exterior? Our room was a very good size and the bed was fantastic. We didn't have a bath but had a huge shower - very nice again. We paid 80 euros per night which included breakfast(normally 14 euros), and when you consider the location and the quality this was exceptional value. I would definitely book again.

"Had a very good stay at this hotel"
We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. Although it is a modern hotel and therefore out of keeping with the historic feel of Bruges we really enjoyed ourselves. We were given an upgrade when we arrived at no charge which was lovely! The hotel receptionists were very friendly and spoke excellent English (as did everyone else we met in the hotel). The rooms were perfectly adequate - very modern but clean and the beds were extemely comfortable. We all slept like logs! The breakfast was included in our room rate and was a great way to start the day. Once again, the staff were very efficient and all dishes were promptly replenished once empty. There was fresh fruit, yoghurts, cheeses, ham, cheese spreads, pate, jams, selection of breads plus bacon, sausages, eggs and mushrooms. The bread rolls were so hot and tasty it was difficult to keep to just one!.
The location was excellent - just over the road from the lake (which was our favourite spot for evening meals - such a selection of restaurants - and a pleasant 5 minute stroll to the boat trips and squares.
We'd definitely go back if we were to visit Bruges again.
