"A Wonderful Retreat!" My husband and I stayed here for two nights in Nov. 2006. It was a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were very friendly. The conceirge recommended places to visit and over-priced restaurants to avoid. The hotel is right next to the main square, and very close to all of Brugge's attractions. We stayed on the third floor and had a lovely view of the courtyard and the brick rooftops in Brugge. Our room and bathroom were also suprisingly large by European standards. And after walking around all day, we slept very well each night. Our room was very quiet and the breakfast each morning was fantastic. If we ever return to Brugge, we know where to stay!

"Very efficient and friendly staff" After a horrible experience with our hotel in Brussels we were welcomed and made felt at home by the staff even we were at the hotel at 11:30. They immediately arranged that we can book in early and made sure we were able to relax and enjoy Brugge. As other reviews stated the rooms needs a bit of overhaul but the rest of the facilities are fine. It's proximity is a huge bonus. Very quiet as well. Maybe the club as stated in other reviews is only open on weekends? The receptionist was extremely helpful and efficient.

"Best hotel in Brugge " Me and my girlfriend stayed at this wonderful hotel for three nights in March and we could not have been happier with the service we received.The staff were very helpful and our room was very clean,spacious and comfortable.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.The breakfast was plentiful and lots to choose from.I have no complaints whatsoever of the Hans Memling hotel and we will definetely be staying there in the future and would recommend it to anyone.

"Lovely" Stayed at this hotel with my husband. It was clean, quiet and most importantly very close to the markt (main square). It was really handy for all the sights. The staff were really helpful and breakfast was good.

"Great place to stay...." I stayed here for a couple of nights - booked at the last minute and got a really good rate. It's a bit disappointing that the carparking is not on-site, but I have no other complaints. The rooms were very tidy and clean and the staff were very helpful. Very comfortable beds - pick what type of pillow you want! and cooking facilities in each room.

"Nice and clean, Great location" Very nice clean, comfortable hotel in a tip-top location within walking distance of all the touristy stuff (and the train station). We got put in a disabled room as the hotel was full, but it was fine. Very modern. The only bad thing was that for the parking you have to use a rather 2nd rate car park over the road. The rates are fairly cheap, but this means that it is full to bursting and therefore you often have to wait to get in. The parking attendants I dealt with were incredibly rude as well (for no apparent reason), which is very strange in Aus. For this reason and this reason alone I would NOT stay in this hotel again if I had a car with me - I would find a hotel with its own car park. However, because of the hotels proximity to the station I would probably not have a car here again anyway. Proprietors of the hotel - if you are reading this, this small thing is letting your hotel down big time you need to sort it out.
